A glass shop you can read from the street

Start at the curb on Jailhouse Alley. A hand-painted board leans against the stucco wall: MIDDLE GEORGIA, then GLASSWORKS in a red script, then Home / Auto Glass Replacement, MOBILE SERVICE, and the phone number, 478-956-0111. Beside it a white door with an OPEN sign in the window, the number 111 on the wall, and two Adirondack chairs on the concrete apron.

The board is the whole pitch, and it holds up. It says house glass and car glass, so a cracked windshield and a window in a house are the same phone call. It says mobile service, so the work can come to you. It says who to call.

Everything else about the shop, the people and the way they work a problem, is what customers have written down on Google between 2018 and 2025. The overall rating is 4.8 from 24 reviews, and the five quoted below are all five stars. They are in their words, because their words are better evidence than ours.

Two names, five reviews

Valerie and Galen, as customers put it

Neither of them wrote a word of this. Customers brought up both names unprompted, Valerie in the two most recent reviews, Galen in the oldest.

“Outstanding job and a huge thanks to Valerie for the transparent and consistent communication.”
Miranda, 2025
“Galen is one of the most honorable businessmen I have ever dealt with. He not only immediately repaired the leak, but covered at great personal effort the cleanup the leak caused.”
David, 2018, writing about Galen
“Yet again Valerie and her team did a fantastic job on our work van!”
Anthony, 2024, a repeat customer with a work van
“I had a rock hit my windshield on the interstate and didn't even know where to begin. Glassworks did exceptional work!!!”
Jamie, 2024, after a rock hit the windshield on the interstate
“The man that fixed it was in and out in under 15 minutes and it looks as if the crack was never there!”
Kevin, 2020, on one cracked windshield on a 2019 Camry. That was his job, not a promise for yours; ask the shop about your own glass.

The week runs Monday to noon Friday

Four full days, then a half-day on Friday, then the weekend off. If the glass cracked on a Friday afternoon, the shop is closed until Monday at 8:00 AM, so a call that morning is the better plan. Mobile service is on the board; tell the shop where the vehicle or the property is and they will say what the visit looks like. The number is (478) 956-0111.
