Mobile glass service

MOBILE SERVICE is painted on the shop's own board. Call with where the glass is and what happened to it.

Chapter 01

When the glass cannot come to the shop

Some glass is hard to bring in. A windshield cracked on the interstate may leave a vehicle you would rather not drive, a van may be tied to a working day, and a house window is simply not portable. That is the reason a glass shop paints MOBILE SERVICE on its board, and it is on theirs, next to the phone number.

The service area is not published, so there is no list of towns here and no promise about distance. The honest way to find out is to call and say where the glass is.

What a visit needs from you

For a vehicle, a mobile visit needs a place to park it that is level and clear, with room to open the doors and reach the glass. Adhesive cures better dry, so a dry day or a spot with cover helps. Tell the shop where the car will be sitting, such as a driveway, a work lot or a garage.

For a house window, the shop needs to reach it. Clear the furniture and curtains from around the opening, make sure someone can let them in, and know which window it is before they arrive.

Chapter 03

What to say when you call

Start with where the glass is, then what it is: the year, make and model for a vehicle, or the room and size of the window for a house. Say what happened, whether it is a chip, a long crack, a broken pane or a leak. The shop is at 111 Jailhouse Alley in Byron, and the number is (478) 956-0111.

The shop is open Monday to Thursday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and closed on Saturday and Sunday. Ask on the call whether your location works for a visit.
